For a jont project Materialise and Layerwise have contacted micro-CT scanning company and partner Skyscan to obtain high-quality 2D micro-CT data of a titanium ball with internal Layerwise logo. Using the Mimics and 3-matic software, Materialise calculated an accurate 3D model from the 2D data and performed a color-coded comparison of the micro-CT scan of the part to the CAD drawings.
Materialise has extensive know-how on the use of micro-CT techniques to non-destructively ‘look inside’ of physical parts using (micro-)computed tomography techniques.
