With RM, parts can be rendered more functional thus enhancing the performance of a design. Some examples;

• A better cooling rate is obtained by placing cooling structures conformal around a cavity, thus resulting in faster cycle times and increased productivity.
• Fast moving parts can be made lighter by building up solid structures as hollow parts, thus requiring smaller and cheaper machinery to move those components.
